New York Medical College Orthopaedic Residency Program Brooklyn & Queens Region

Thank you for your interest in the New York Medical College Orthopaedic Residency Program Brooklyn and Queens Region. This year we will again be participating in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). You will need to contact your medical school Dean's Office to access the MyERAS web based application. You will need a maximum of four letters of reference and a letter from the dean of your medical school. Send a personal statement with your application. Explain any interruptions in your education. The selection committee is most interested in what special qualities and experiences you have and what you hope to do with your orthopaedic education. Tell us why you have chosen orthopaedics. The personal statement helps us to know you, and we read it with great care.  The details of the ERAS application process can be found here: ERAS

Three PGY-1 positions are offered through the NRMP to carry through a full orthopaedic educational program (categorical match). The PGY-1 year is at St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan.  The PGY2-5 years are at Mary Immaculate, and St. Johns Hospital in Queens, as well as Hospital for Joint Diseases and St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan.  The details of these rotations can be found on the "Resident Rotations" page on this website.
